SUBJECT : VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID



The Office of Financial Aid has an opening for the position of Financial Aid Officer , above grade 12.  Since this provides an opportunity for promotion from within, please circulate this information and/or post it in your area of jurisdiction so that those interested and having the minimum qualifications may apply not later than May 7, 2024.

 
I. Basic Functions:
Works under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. Performs a variety of duties associated with reviewing and assessing financial aid applications, awards aids, implements financial aid plans, prepares statistical reports and applies strict confidentiality. May design, coordinate and conduct financial aid workshops, information sessions and random home visits. Delivers quality customer service to students and parents.
 
II. Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, STEM or related fields from an accredited university. Master's Degree is preferable.
  2. At least 5 years of related work experience preferably in business analytics, finance or auditing.
  3. Self-starter, fast learner.
  4. Able to manage simultaneous tasks, set priories and meet strict deadlines with high level of attention to details.
  5. Ability to deliver quality customer service to a diverse student population.
  6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to a culturally and ethnically diverse population.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one and in large group settings.
  8. Strong organizational and problem resolution skills.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and database operations.
  10. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  11. Fluent in Arabic and English, French is a plus.
