I. Basic Functions: |
|
Supports AUB in procuring Information technology goods and services within University established policies, procedures and standards. Includes managing activities related to procurement of educational commodities and equipment. Receives and reviews all assigned purchase requisitions and processes them in accordance with University established procedures. Locates, evaluates and contacts suppliers, negotiates prices, and selects the most suitable supplier(s). Issues purchase orders and follows up on delivery and end user inquiries. The Senior Procurement Agent will be responsible for handling both local and global procurement, including fixed-rate contracts related to commodities and services. This position plays a vital role in optimizing procurement processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and acquiring materials and services related to departmental activities. |

II. Minimum Requirements: |

Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related equivalent field coupled with a minimum 5 years’ experience in Computer Engineering or IT purchasing, or 7 years' experience in Business-to-Business technology selling, or holder of a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the mentioned fields.

Familiarity with a wide range of computer hardware, infrastructure, network, and telecommunication equipment and software.

Experience using Oracle eBS or similar ERP system’s Purchasing modules.

Well versed in Microsoft Office products and Business Intelligence and Analytics tools; Oracle OBIEE and Click View are a plus.

Ability to multitask and work within multiple applications at the same time including Microsoft Office, Oracle Financials and others.

Ability to handle a high workload volume while remaining organized and efficient.
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-
Excellent analytical, problem solving and negotiating skills.
-
Possesses desired characteristics of a successful senior procurement officer, e.g. is process driven, team player, etc.

Fully proficient in English and Arabic.
