I. Basic Functions: |
|
The Program Manager will manage one of the Institute’s core policy clusters and provide oversight to all research activities within the cluster. Under the direction of the Institute Director, the Program Manager will develop an agenda that responds to urgent research gaps and draws key experiences and policy recommendations from research findings. Defines, plans, tracks, and manages the complete lifecycle of projects. Defines project scopes, goals, and deliverables that support institutional goals in collaboration with senior management. Develops full-scale cluster plans, defining project tasks, resource requirements, and associated communications documents. |

II. Minimum Requirements: |
-
Master’s degree in public policy, international affairs, or related field.
-
5 years of experience in a similar role within an educational or public sector institution, NGO, or project.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks/projects in accordance with established deadlines.

Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
-
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management; knowledge of project management techniques and tools.

Direct work experience in project management capacity is preferred.
-
Work effectively with and coordinate the activities of outside researchers and consultants.
-
Ability to comprehend, implement, audit, and control project management standard policies and operating procedures in project execution.

Ability to produce high quality deliverables while maintaining schedule commitments.
